Bedroom update with Home Goods, Pottery Barn, and T.J. Max

This was before the new bedding

And after!

What a difference it made.  I love the gray on white look.
My favorite is the owl.  I found it at T.J. Max for around $9.
The bedspread is from Home Goods for around $80.
The euro pillow shams are from Pottery Barn (clearance) for $14 each.  I love Pottery Barn but can't afford to buy from there unless it is on "super" sale.  The throw pillows are also from Home Goods for around $14 each.

What do you think?

Painted bedroom suite black (like Pottery Barn style)

Decided to paint the pine bedroom suite in order to sell it

Some before photos:

And after...

Finished headboard

Here are some photos of the finished headboard.
This one is before staining but after I have put a wood conditioner on it.

After staining...

Now, in Landen's room!

Doesn't it look GREAT!!

Making a headboard

Just got home from trip to Lowe’s to purchase the supplies to build the headboard for Landen’s room.  Let me tell you, it is an experience to go shopping with Eric.  He is Mr. Pessimist and I am totally frazzled by the time we leave the store.  I was struggling to find everything I needed in the paint section (I have too many projects on my brain at one time) when Eric came to find me.  He has been getting our lumber together.  He tells me that this project is going to cost like $200.  Everything I was seeing online suggested $50 or so for lumber.  Needless to say me head spun around a couple of times.  Anyway, we bought the lumber (around $120) and remaining supplies and headed home.
I am beginning to feel sorry for Eric because he has come down with a head cold and is achy but I have him cutting lumber in the workshop, oh well.

Landen's bedroom redo

Found a great mid-century style dresser for Landen’s room at a yard sale for $50!!  This is one heavy piece of furniture.  Of course I had to make Eric take it upstairs (with my help) as soon as we got home.  Unfortunately a rainstorm came through during the day and got the dresser a little wet, minor damage on one of the corners.  I think this piece will work great, clean lines, very masculine looking.  Landen loves it!  Eric not so much but I think it will grow on him when everything comes together.
